Rear guard brace.

Post by Redmoggy »

I only have two panels fitted to my 49 that did not come with it from the factory, the boot lid and the left rear guard. I know the guard is slightly later than the car as it is drilled for the later rear lamp. However I'm curious as to how old it is. Does the absence of the welded brace around the lower edge help to date it at all?

Cheers

All factory original "high cut" rear wings didn't have the strip around the bottom edge if that helps?

My very early Minor 1000 didn't have the extra strip either on the original rear wings.
