I'm trying to find replacements for the fabric (it was on my car anyway) buffer that fitted by 1 screw to the body at the rear edge of the bonnet. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Bonnet doesn't hit in this area and with hindsight i'd have welded the hole, but now i'd like to finish it as it should be. I've tried thin rubber, but this just tears after a while. It looks very much like a very thin old fashioned fabric exhaust hanger material.
cheers
Pete

On all the MM's I have had they have been rubber, about 3/16" thick (or 5mm in new money!)[frame][/frame]

I've just had a thought. The tape that is used to mount bodies onto chassis is very similar. Only need about 4 inches though

Re: Fabric buffer at rear of (short) bonnet
Hi thanks,
It's similar, but not for a short bonnet.
Pete

Re: Fabric buffer at rear of (short) bonnet
Received a suitable replacement in the form of thick-ish rubber which can be cut to size.
Many thanks for your help Keith.
