Hi all,just a quickie,are the boot hinges the same for all models? Also is the starter motor the same on all models?
I have a `52 MM.

As far as I can remember the MM starter motor has an extra tooth on it compared with a morris minor. The boot hinges fit but are not quite the same, I believe there is very little difference. Some one will correct this if I am wrong. :o :D

The original boot hinges ares slightly more pointed, these were fitted until the early 60s and then they became a bit more roundeded. The early ones arent available but the later ones will fit without any hassle.

You might be lucky and find new/old stock correct hinges but there are certainly secondhand ones around. Most owners don't seem to know the difference...... I found a correct pair for my car without much trouble - It's only a small detail but having the wrong ones - and the wrong, later bonnet badge - annoyed me!
