Thermostat in MM

Post by colin addison »

I have a USHM3 engine which has even worse performance than normal until it warms up, say two to three miles. I do not have a thermostat installed. Will this engine run OK with a stat?

Yes. Normal Minor 1000 version or I can supply a kit to use a modern in-line version. I also fitted a BMC rad blind and a Bray block heater to get the temp up faster. Both are original 1950s items.
