Can anybody tell me when stainless steel window frames were used on 2 door cars,I know they were used on 4 door cars from the start

I don't think they were ever used were they? My understanding was that the very early cars used chrome plated frames but these gave way to painted ones.

As far as I know they were introduced on the Travellers.
The ones I fitted to my 2 door Series II certainly came from a Traveller. :D
