rear light metal surround

I have a 51 mm and there does not appear to be holes in the body shell to accommodate the screws for the rear light metal surround. What do these screws fasten to. The auto is just a shell with numerous parts, which hopefully I will be able to put back together.
Thanks,
Doug

Have a look at this Moss parts list - it should give you the answer you require.

http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/shop-by-mo ... ourer.html

If the tail lamp is the early type - the lamp is bolted through the wing using bolt item No: 41 in the above link to the light block item No: 38.

The other tail lamps have the same type of fixing i.e. bolted through the wing.

You may have to drill the required holes if the wings/fenders are not original. The wings/fenders may be after market items.

I am talking about the rear window. Sorry for the confusion.

I'am attaching a couple of pics. Do clips snap on to the inner frame to accommodate the screws?

As far I know, the window surround is not used in the '51 version.
I have also a '51 and the surround but it was not on the car when I bought him.

Finished fitting them at about 43,000 for the 2-door and about 110,000 for the 4-door.

Used 10 RTN604P and 4 RTN606P screws. The 606 were longer. The pre-UNF part numbers don't seem to be listed but they are raised-head, unplated screws.

I'd have to say mine never had the surround. I assume the rubber hides the frame.
Thanks,Doug
