This is Paul in Yuma, Arizona. I am restoring a 1952 series MM and I am wondering if anyone knows where to find the sealing ring for the instrument panel or a suggestion for a substitute and while I'm while on the subject of "easy to find parts" how about the water rail for the heater hose to the water pump on a 918cc with water pump. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Paul Follett.

Suggest you also post your message on the 'Series MM Register' section under 'Registers and Branches' further down the Board Index page from 'General Discussion'. You'll find lots of Series MM 918cc sidevalve owners and experts visit that section - it's an area the Message Board specifically for those with Series MM sidevalve cars produced between September 1948 and February 1953.

Do you mean illustration item 219 ?

Paul. If you mean the rubber string then i didn't fit mine back. It was rotten anyway. It is just a soft rubber so there ought to be a source on Ebay. Do you need the dimensions?

The water rail was just a straight tube with rolled ends flared out with 2 steel brackets soldered on, I believe.

Must admit I did away with the pipe - my longer heater hose goes straight to the water pump. Less joints as well!
