Recently had the sump off my sidevalve engine and upon replacing it still leaks - but less than it did!
Initially it only had a jiggle pin drop and the timing cover was oil tight but after a journey of about 110 miles yesterday I still have a drop on the jiggle pin but now the timing cover crank seal has decided to weep - this dribble didn't reach as far as the drain plug which makes it better than before so we are not talking puddles but would still rather it oil tight!
Is anyone running an oil tight sidevalve?
