MM screen chrome inserts

Post by c a addison »

Hi
The chrome inserts/add ons on the windscreen have developed minds of their own and are no longer fixed to the rubbers. Has anyone found a suitable glue/adhesive to re-stick them back on?

The chrome inserts on my Series 2 were lose at the lower outer corners (I need a new rubber seal really as thin strips of it a peeling away). As a 'temporary' fix I re-attached the chrome inserts using super-glue. Even working in such a localised area it took 2 or 3 attempts before the trim stuck properly. I've probably done the wrong thing as I don't know how easy it will be to remove the chrome inserts when I finally come to replace the seal.
