Hi
I wonder if anyone might have a spare hinge that attaches to the fuel pipe opening. The image below shows what I would like to obtain.
Many thanks
Pete

You mean 'spare'? You can't really adapt a later cap to take this mechanism. Is it just the links you need?

Hi Pete, just a thought if you have no joy with the hinge how about a thin chain link that Ive seen on other classics.

Hi Rob
Sorry, perhaps I wasn’t very clear.
I have an original cap with one link attached to it. The piece I need is the second link that fixes to the inside of the filler pipe.
Thanks for your reply.
Pete

Same as the other half of the link, isn't it? Not hard to replicate if you pull it apart. File a flat piece to shape and roll it round a drill bit in a vice. You have the bottom bracket that is welded into the tube?

Hi Rob
Yes I believe it is the same as the other link.
I don’t have the piece welded to the pipe but looking to attach a link to it to replicate the original type of fuel cap fitting as on the early cars.
