Hi,
It looks like it would but can we see a picture of the side that mates to the engine block to be sure.
It also looks nice and shiny but you may want to paint the housing body to protect it from the elements and stop it rusting.
Best wishes,
Mike.

What engine is the filter assembly intended to be fitted to?
Having now looked at the AC web site - the AC filter housing assy FF21 is intended for oil filtration.
As above we need to see the face that attaches to the block.
I oil filter assy pictured was originally fitted to the SV Morris Minor engine.

See here
https://www.ebay.co.uk/c/3018138953 which offers oil filter elements for this AC body and says they fit a Morris Minor. So (with luck) it should be a goer.

Ahhh, assuming Phil is correct and that is a fuel filter, I have attached a couple of links to original Morris Minor oil filters below for you.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Further to above:-
The SV Minor engine has two apertures/oilways in its rear face that mates to the block whereas the 'A' Series filter head only has one large apertures/oilway in its rear face as shown in jagnut's links above.
If the filter has two apertures in its rear face it will not fit the 'A' Series engine only the SV engine.

In that case it will fit provided you have the later SV engine with water pump, external oil filter and possibly car heater equipment.
See BMC wksp man illustration A4 for details.

Phil,
Is that the early "by-pass" style of filter? If so, do we need to make the questioner aware of the restrictor orifice thingy that needs to be fitted that limits the oil flow?
Regards from MikeN.

Mike
The oil filter in question is for the later USHM2 918cc side valve engine. The restrictor you mention is for the APHM 803cc overhead valve engine (small 'A' Series).

The oil pressure relief valve for your SV engine is situated in the oil pump body.
By PRV i suspect you mean the blocked filter bypass valve that allows oil to bypass the oil filter element and still keep the bearings lubricated.
Your existing oil filter should have the blocked filter bypass which is located in the filter head. See illustration A4 items No: 151 - 154
The problem with the blocked filter bypass valve is that it does allow a certain amount of unfiltered oil to the engine. On some 'A' Series filter heads the valve can be blocked so only allowing fully filtered oil to the engine.

It was a Halfords HOF 205 or 250. I can't recall which and it's turned so I can't see it.

Rob
Thank you but neither number pops up on the Halfords oil filter web site.
If I recollect correctly you mentioned in an earlier post regarding the spin on oil filter conversion that you had to fit a shorter bodied oil filter and that is why I asked for the number for reference.

Sent one of the kids under the car.
"HOF250W"
Not showing on Halfords, as you say. This might work.

The Halfords part number for the oil filter is HOF203 for the spin on filter. Used them many times on my 948.
