Differential repair parts

Now looking for the proverbial "needle in a haystack" but I'll never know if I don't ask. Planning on dismantling the noisy differential from my '52 Series MM this fall/winter and in reading through the process in the original workshop manual there is mention of two special tools that are required, they are a dummy pinion shaft and a checking fixture that fits in the axle cover opening. Copies of the appropriate pages from the manual showing these items are attached, probably can come up with some kind of substitute but would be nice to have the original ones and so does anyone happen to have either one or both, know of someone who might have them or someone who had them made at some time and might still have the dimensions. Any and all advise on the repair process would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Paul Follett manlyvaleaussie

I will be perfectly honest and say that if you have little or no experience in overhauling a differential I would advise that you give the overhaul option a miss and either put the axle to a rear axle specialist who may or may not have the specialist tools required or look for a good replacement axle.

I'd expect zero success, but you never know.

The axle design was a scaled-down version of the MGTD, ZA, YA and Morris Oxford so you might possibly find someone who might be able to offer advice based on those models.

NTG supplied me with a half shaft and various collars to fix the split rear axle on the wife’s Wolseley 444. It was some years ago but they may be able to offer help

Mick,
I'm not familiar with NTG, do you have any contact information.
Thanks,

Whilst parts may or may not be available without the proper diff setting tools getting the diff set correctly will be difficult to achieve.
