Paintremoval

Post by wimor »

Finally the car is completely disassembled. Now begin the big scratching of the coating and find out the rot parts of the body. After the repair of that I will remove the paint.

Who can give me tips about paintremoval? I think on a combination of sanding the big surface and sandblasting for the difficult accessible sections.

Greetings from Holland

Hi - please can you put the signature photo on a non-security access site. I keep getting a logon box (and no picture)!

The quickest way is with an angle grinder and sanding disc/wire brush, but whoever's painting may object if you mark the metal, and you also remove factory primer/rust proofing. Guy (I think) recommended a car paint stripper, but I don't recall the maker.
