Tried that, I get :-

Your images may only be up to 265 pixels high.

According to the file info in Explorer, the image is 100x96 pixels.

This really shouldn't be such a faff. All it needs is a simple "how to" guide for adding a photo to a signature in the FAQ. If there is one, I can't see it.

Have a read, you'll note that there are random, intermittent issues with it.

Yet, if I link to YOUR profile pic, it displays it, and according to Explorer, that's 150x150 pixels! (I'll change it soon, don't worry!)

I've read that, followed the instructions, but still get Your image can only be 265pixels high (or words to that effect).

Removing the brake master cyl is less hassle than this!

Tried resizing the picture to 96x96, same result.

I would give up for a while. Try again in a day or two.
As I mentioned earlier, this message board is very fickle! I was having photo loading problems a couple of days ago just in posts, let along signature image.

I copied and pasted your link and it works fine (nice car and train by the way) so I tried a test post using Image and URL. The Image didn't work but the URL did.

For that to work I think you need to upload a photo rather than a link to one on the internet.

It says somewhere in the FAQ that you need to link to a photo. Where would I upload a photo to?

Ok, so an attachment works. Now, how do get that as my signature?

Edit-got it. You need to click on the photo *as displayed in the post*, then copy & paste from the address bar into the signature between the img tags, as below:-

I like these old post revivals, it’s interesting to see, when looking back, how many members have fallen by the wayside. . It makes one wonder where they are now, or if indeed still here on planet Earth. Moggies being a vague memory of the past. I expect I’ll join them one day !
