I have no problem logging on and entering the messageboard but when I try to see MMC spares I am told I do not have permission . What am I doing wrong

I suspect that you have to be an actual member of the club, not just on-line forums registered.

Yes, as Katy has said, the members area is only accessible to MMOC members. If you are a member click on the "confirm your membership here" link and enter the details requested. You should then be able to see the content of the club spares forum.
