Log off and back on again a couple of times and it's come back....

This is freaky stuff.
On this Topic, I've got Edit Button on this Post, and the Attachment tab is present....

But over on the Clattering Noise topic: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=71040&p=646761#p646761

I have no Edit Button and the Attachment tab is still missing !!!!
Aghjhhhh!!!!!

I've just tested the clattering thread and can see the attachment tab, and have also got it on this one. Could you test again please. Thanks.

Still the same. Got it on one, and not the other....

And just an edit to say that I have Edit Icon/Function on this Topic, but not on the other one...... :-?

You are right, yet on this post there is one:

(First thing I found that is (nearly) relevant to the 'Clattering Noise' problem post)
More gremlins in the works then.....
Time to heat up the proverbial iron for the system again.....

Well I'm glad it's not just me.
I might venture to suggest that there could be a different route through the software that is allowing normal function for Moderator accounts and not for us mortals??
More ruddy Gremlins....
I've tried a few other topics and that Clattering Topic is the only one affected that I've found so far......

Not so much a 'ghost' in the machine as a 'malevolent poltergeist'. I'll see if I can find time to have a fiddle around with this during the week, but I'm going to be honest and say I'll not devote masses of time to it because this board is living out its last breaths really, and there's little point in rearranging deckchairs on the Titanic. I've done the necessary permission set changes to update 'The Team' list, but only because I enjoyed the challenge of working a way past the obstacles - it didn't really justify too much work to rectify because this board is soon* to become read-only

*Yeah yeah, I know, when is 'soon'? Well, when I have something definitive, I'll let you know :D

Hi,
Will we be able to post 'signature' pictures from our PCs onto the new site when it's live, like we did on the original site, or are we still going to have to find a host site first?

Also, tied into the above in a way, we are able to attach pictures direct from our PCs to any individual post (well, if there's an attachments tab anyway  ) at present, will we still be able to do this?

I ask because I know that 'new improved sites' can sometimes prove to be more of a step backwards than forwards and make it more difficult for posters, rather than easier..............
Best wishes,
Mike.
