I got a text message from somebody whose number my phone does not recognise, suggesting Ashurst. I'm happy with that, but I don't have Carlo's number to tell him. Can somebody pass on the news to him?

Till 9 at least. But most pubs seem to end up with loads of smokers outside---unless we try say the Fritham one where the Huge garden gives us a fighting chance.

You'll not find me complaining about going to the Royal Oak (for that is the one), as it's
a) a great pub, and
b) about ten minutes away

I'm about, given somewhere sufficiently westwards... Too skint to drive a long way.

I'll check back for a choice after the boys are in bed.
