I'll be there if I can!

Are we meeting this evening then?
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

Well, new series of Hustle on Beeb1 and ER on More4 mean I'll have nobody to talk to at home between 9pm and 11pm, so I might as well come and talk to you lot :-)

No strong preference as to where. The shed is running well but has a fair old thirst so I don't really want to go too far. Ashurst?

hello gentlemen, and occasional ladies, as i am sure most of you have seen, i am going fiat, so my engine and all bits will be up for grabs. i am going to offer most of it in the for sale section, and then ebay, but i thought i would offer it to you lot first. bits for sale will be...
1.5 hi lift roller rockers
Maniflow LCB manifold(less than a year old)
Big valve, ported 11 stud head
vernier cam belt conversion kit(although i know none of you will want that!)
and the 1275 engine. i am going to be tarting it up, new gaskets, water pump thermostat housing, duplex chain etc, so it wont be cheap, but is a good engine.
anyway, most of it will be off by the end of next week. but if you are interested, let me know.
cheers, and i do hope to see you all soon!

well that was short and sweet MR au!
head-£105(forgot to say it is unleaded)
full roller rockers-£125
vernier cam belt-£75
maniflow lcb-£90

engine-£350. please remember this is based on a couple of things as i know you will all chuckle heartily at the price.
1-it is a good engine!
2-it will have payen head gasket, lumenition red leads(less than a year old) lucas "sports" coil(less than a year old), midget flywheel with clutch in good order(and a modified mechanism to give you correct travel), starter motor, and all the bits i have stated in the earlier post.
3-it is a Midget engine, means little to us lot, but on ebay they are worth more than marina
4-it is rebored +30

the set up i had worked brilliantly and is so much quicker than my dads. i fitted the head and rockers at the same time, but the difference was huge. it really revved much nicer and was much more comfortable at higher revs.
and questions lovely SADMOG folk, let me know.

hey, no it will come with the head it came with, standard midget with double valve springs(standard). obviously if you wanted the modified head, then i could put that on instead for the extra, and you could have the other as a spare.

maniflow lcb-£90
Aaargh, aaargh. I'm interested in the manifold but I'm pretty skint at the moment. Do you do interest-free credit? :-)

Oh, and I can't make it tonight. SWMBO has the excitement of a pre-school committee meeting so I get to stay at home.

Oh well, never mind. I have a complete exhaust but it's a jigsaw puzzle where the pieces don't fit together without the aid of a grinder :-)

Sorry to post this proposterously early, but do you think we could make the friday meet next week at the empress? I might have just recruited a new member ;)
