I quite like the thread, and as others have pointed out it may encourage or at least amuse others!

sorry no photo from the last meet, I got there a bit late and it was just too dark to do much without a tripod! (would have to take a shot without a flash to get all the cars in) All you can see in the photos I have got are the nearest car and some headlight reflectors in the dark! perhaps we will have to go for mug shots in the pub rather than mog shot in the carpark?

I think the Website has editing tools to destroy that kind of grim upload. :D

I don't think there's anybody who's better-looking than their car...

OK, I've got messages from the usual suspects. Email incoming, but I guess we could keep the debate here and use the phone numbers in case of problems finding the pub.

Some strange folks seem to enjoy our ramblings... :-)

We're not that strange. Or are we... I thinks it's normal. :D

Ok where to this thurs then?

I vote The Bold again.

Or if your feeling more adventurous The Pilgrim which is about 3 miles from the Bold Forester just off the main Southampton - Hythe road (Marchwood side)
A nice cosy pub with a biggish single carpark (less chances to get lost)

I was going to suggest the Bold one too.
Paul, can you give us a streetmap ref for The Pilgrim?

Pilgrim is just up the road from the Bold.

Sorry folks but a 2 week holiday in the sun prevents me from attending the next couple of meets ;-)

Don't think you can get there on the main road though, you have to turn left into twiggs lane and go down from there (it is signposted!)

Must confess to not being a fan of that paticular venue. I have decided not to attend, and to "fixmog" instead. Its about time I put some hours in on the car.

I'm around this evening, though I may be a little late as I will put the boy to bed first. I'm missing his storytime from sunday until the following saturday, so I don't want to miss this evening too.

I'm a big softy, I know :-)

btw, I'm thinking of trying The Auld Scottish Pub in downtown Brasov, just for the laugh. If I do I'll bring photos to show the full cheesy nightmare...

And speaking of horrors: Bran Castle (the former home of Vlad the Impaler) is not far from here. Anybody got any garlic?

And paulk has said he can't make it, Peetee is having major grief with Joemog from the sound of things, and Dan is trying to make progress on the traveller so i am unsure if anyone will be in the mood / can spare the time this coming week!

I'm sure I could. But if we aren't meeting then that means more tinker time!

Well it looks as if my mind has been made up about SADMOG this week! It looks as if i have a cambelt to do on a 1999 Renault Espace as the one on Mrs WPR's espace has just snapped! The annoying thing is that it wasn't due to lack of maintenance! So sorry guys if you are meeting up, but count me out. :( Lets hope it is just the cambelt and not a full rebuild as can sometimes be the case :o . (Its a 1999 2.0 litre 16v if anyone has had experience of this!)
