Can those who have expressed an interest please confirm if the 15th of Dec is okay for you. We now have around 24 possibles 15 of which are now definates.
We have decided to build two tracks one for practice the other will be a scale version of Monza with a 20ft long straight. Due to the interest we will need to start fairly early, and I'm wondering if folk might want to take advantage of the excellent 'pie' pub for lunch time break, or if tea, coffee, biscuits, sandwiches, cake etc will suffice. :D :D

Steve, have written this reply 5 times now but been unable to send due to site being down, or parts of it at least.
Yourself and Roger have been the only ones to reply to my last request on this forum, however there is still time to go for late applicants, after all who can refuse free tea, coffee, sandwiches, cakes etc, and the chance to have a days fun racing slot cars and trying to do your best on the PS2 Colin Mcrae and Grand Turismo games

Race day is Sat 15th Dec. Warm up and track walk at 9.00am. Practice up to 10am. Racing the rest of the day with a 1/2 hour for lunch, grazing is allowed all day though on nibbles etc.
If you intend on competing please reply on here or by PM's

I'll be there :D
Won't get chance to get back into parent's loft to find my 70's F1 cars though. I might have to borrow the little Porsche from my g/f's kids modern set!

Good news Ray, don't worry about cars, I've just bought two Rally cars a Scooby and Focus both 4wd and magnetic, truly stunning cars. We also have Caterhams, other rally cars,TVR Tuscan, TVR speed 12, and Williams FI cars. Think we may limit racing to the two new ones though so that we have a level playing field, might use the others for a fastest lap of the day competition but I think we have a full day ahead of us. You will be able to try the PS2 games of GT4 and Colin Mcrae rally, whilst not actually racing in the real world. Plus you'll be surrounded by other petrol heads, for lively banter :D :D

Cheers Steve,a really enjoyable day ( hope you have recovered from my shouting at you ) and a big thankyou to all who attended.
Hope we can repeat the event again next year, with a digital system, allowing 6 cars on the track at the same time.
Thanks again to Steve and Ray, from this messageboard, lets hope a few more can make it next year. :D
