Hi Kathy,
going to be doing the same to mine very soon - its a terrible handpainted job at the moment, I'm currently sourcing the most effective (and cheap) way to do it so migth be able to have you learn by the mistakes i will no doubt be making along the way

Kaf - welcome. Good to see you on the winning side. Keep it up, and don´t worry about the paint job being "just" a hand paint job. I have seen hand painted cars that were beautifully done. And I used to be a car painter in a previous life. It´s a matter of a) the right paint b) the right tools and c) the proper technique. Go for it!

If you're going to hand paint, then using a roller rather than a brush can get you a much better result:

Hiya
Thanks for all the replies, nice to meet you all. Im in Plymouth in the southwest and we've just taken a battering from the gales. Had a 'well' day ova the weekend and went out to clean car and scrub moss off her!!! Got a quote for welding door panels and bought some parts for a service. Having lots of fun!!
