If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Here's my car:

There's a Morris Minor buried under there somewhere - and it's still snowing fairly hard!
Some people are like slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you throw them downstairs.

Nice to see that it's not only here in Norway we have a lot of snow. But you don't have the same cold as we do. Sunday morning we had 28 minus here. And they say it will be even colder tomorrow. :-?

I was one of the few people that made it in to work yesterday (in the Minor of course). I then found out that the instructions were not to come in unless you really had to, this then changed to "go home whilst you still can".

It helped that there aren't any steep hills on my route and we only had about 6 inches of snow but I still felt a little bit smug.

I attempted to cycle in this morning. I expected the Portsmouth Road into Southampton to be clear -as it was yesterday. Within 200yds I realised the bumps under the slush were ice and I went no further :o . They hadn'd gritted at all!!!
When i eventually got to work I met a colleague who had just got in on his bike from 12 miles away. It had taken him 2 1/2 hours.
I feel such a chicken

Similar here where I felt a bit smug too.

Then rather foolish when the wipers weren't coping with the snow on the way back.

The only worrying moment was when reversing out of the garage [row of garages] and attempting to drive away....the car went sideways and stopped just before a brick wall. Often wondered if I'd be composed enough to drive into a skid [considering it doesn't happen that often] and instinctively did.

Glad I went out as it was a spectacular drive from Northampton on the Bedford A428 road. I am sooooooo grateful to have sight. Imagine not seeing all of this and other beautiful things.

Didn't risk attempting to drive into the garage so he's tucked along the side of the house.

Off to feed the birds and light the fire.

The snow doesn't seem too bad in Northampton comparede to other places but it's still a bit slippy on the roads, annoyingly though my school was one of only 3 in the town that remained open today! I don't mind going to school but if everyone else gets the day off then why can't we?!! :)
