How many minors?
I thought I was possibly in the minority, now having the two cars. However since having had a look around at peoples sig's ect, quite a few people seem to have more than the one. Was just interested too see quite how many people..? (if in the 4+ category, please do tell )

Re: How many minors?
As I have 3 Minors I sound like a hypocrite here but there is much to be said for having just the one. All available time and money can be spent on it instead of trying to spread it over several cars. Whenever I have had more than one car in the past they have all ended up in bits and out of test.
Looking back I would rather have one nice Minor, on the road, than half a dozen "projects" which I know I will never do anything with.

Re: How many minors?
I have just the one Traveller. I have two MGs besides but with limited spare time, when jobs crop up, it can take a while to complete them. Although I bourght the Traveller as a runabout (Though it spends most of the time in the garage with the other two), I enjoy it a great deal and it's not the "Poor relation" in that respect. If I'm out in it, more people approach me about the Traveller than either MG (And although my Traveller is in good the order, both the MGs are better - so its not that the MGs are shabby); sometimes I wish they'ed ignore it but you have to be polite as they all mean well.
If I was in a position to have another car (I'd need more money, more time and more garage space - I suppose more money could take care of time and space!!), I'd like a pre war Morgan 4/4, MG Midget (M, J, P or T) or an Austin 7 Ulster or Nippy....if we're talking silly money, a Bugatti T35 or 51. However as StaffsMoggie hinted, you can have too many. Ten or so years ago, a so called "Lottery win" could have considerably increased my fleet and its likely that a Ferrari or Porsche 911 would have figured in the line up. Now I think that a Riley RMB or MG Magnette ZA/B would be higher up my list than either the Ferrari or Porsche........a Lotus Elan and a (Classic) Mini Cooper S have always been "There" but it's really only the pre war one that I hanker after, though not at the expense of what I have!!!!
There's a nice MG TB in Classic Car Weekly this week, for £19950. There are Ferrari 308s for more and less than this sum but I'd take the MG any day - for one thing the XPAG engine is a nice simple OHV inline four, not a £££ swallowing quad cam V8. Am I getting old or just more sensible?

Re: How many minors?
Down to 8 in the family now (only 2 on the road), the lowest number of Minors since records began!!!
We do have 3 VW Polo's in the "family fleet" now (all 2000/2001 reg) so they appear to be the "new" Minors in our household
