'99 Escort Turbo Diesel Estate for Sale

Post by Matt »

Guys,

Unfortunately its time for me to sell my escort estate.

(this is a pic from when I got it - the car is currently not at home so can't take up to date pics but looks the same!)

Its a '99 TD in pepper red, hit 100,000 miles at the weekend. It has 12 months MOT (25/09/12) and tax until the end of october.

The MOT tester said it was in the best condition he had seen for a long time, and the chassis was very good. His only negative comment was the drivers side wheel arch is rusty.

Its a 12 year old car so isn't perfect, its got a few little knocks but nothing serious, its also got a rusty patch on one of the front doors.

Mechanically its brilliant. I have done about 30,000 miles in this car since July last year and I would have absolutely no hesitation in taking it anywhere. It has been serviced every 6-10000 miles (by me) and has poly wishbones fitted (I got fed up of changing pattern ones every 6 weeks!).

Interior is clean and tidy. It is now fitted with 14" 8 spoke alloy wheels (gen ford correct for year) with 4 good (non-budget) tyres and even the spare (steel) has a very good tyre on. It has the adjustable steering column, a leather steering wheel and the ghia interior light.

The car has generally been well looked after, I have every mot certificate and reasonable amount of service history.

I am looking for £800 ovno - and looking at the nice ones on ebay I think this is a very reasonable price (I don't want another car hanging around!). Viewings/Test drives are not a problem (test drive only if you can show you are insured to drive it!). It is in Haywards Heath until this weekend, after which it will be back in Southampton.

Any questions please ask!
