For the love of cars is not the Fiat 500 program, that was one of the awful fake drama, cockney geezer, and shouting programs.
FTLOC is actually a pretty decent program, I enjoyed the Landrover one and also recently the Triumph Stag one, OK they could show a LOT more of the actual work being done but compared to most of the classic car TV programs it is good.

Yes, I agree! I though FTLOC was great! I was talking about the other programme when I was complaining... And darn, I missed the episode with the triumph stag. Work bloody late shifts...

Triumph Stag episode was entertaining in my view actually showed some of the problems found rather than throwing endless new parts around, looked a fine result too

Try pausing it while you do something else away from the PC.
It should buffer albeit slowly.

Really enjoyed the Ford Escort programme - not seen the others yet but the format and homage to the back story and history is excellent. At least the fact that there are an increasing range of programmes now that cover restoration and use of classics is encouraging. Nice to see real owners involved too. OK, I'd like to see a bit more attention paid to the importance of quality repair work being done, and why this is essential, and less of the 'we bought it for a tenner, changed the oil and air filter, gave it a wash and sold it for two grand sort of programme and perhaps a bit less of the focus on the ups and downs of the characters involved and their 'relationship' with each other but on the whole I think it can only help those of us who have enjoyed our classics long before they were mainstream TV fodder
As for the Minor - I still think there is a multi-part series to be made on the car and its place in motoring - maybe I should get the video camera out and start Lights, camera - oh b**ger the coil has gone (sorry Roy)

Re: For the Love of Cars
On a film about minors: I just saw the short documentary on minors that is on the young members website, and how good is that?!
A great way to spend 20 minutes if you haven't seen it.
