Try a treatment called chemical castration after all most of us use some form of chemicals in the garden at some time or the other, might at least make it wilt a bit

I think any comments involving Diospyros crassenevis would be irrelevant to this thread

Have just found our young gardener with his nose in the ginger bush. He said he was smelling the strange odour coming from the bush I left him to it. I returned some time later to find he had been over zealous with the trimming and it now looked like a shaven haven.

Even police helicopters appear to be researching similar things.

Size isn't everything, even a small chopper will do the job quite satisfactorily (or so I am told) !

I believe the purple Morning Glory is an invasive species. For many years I believed the ginger bush to be a succulent, it's actually a popular scented perennial.

Whilst the varying shades of the ginger bush itself are amongst the most attractive aspects, for me it is the whole plant and its fascinating shape which really makes it stand out amongst all the flora I have ever tended and the gardens in which I have wandered and fed and watered

More trouble in the bed. It appears that my wifes cat has been in the bed and has done something to my purple morning glory. I said to her look what your pussy has done, my purple morning glory is now bent in the middle. Pussy is now hiding behind the Ginger bush.

I have the same problem with my resident pussy, it moults and sheds, gets wet in the rain, as well as smelly thereafter if not carefully dried and when stroked it can get very tetchy if it doesn't want the attention.

I think the Ginger bush thread has finally come to and end. I looked in the bed this morning and the bush has given up the ghost. Its probably the cold weather as my purple morning glory has shrunk to half its size. I told my wife that I would look out for a new Ginger bush but that didn't seem to go down too well. Just as well really as I'm still banned from our local garden centre over the misunderstanding regarding the protective film. The comments I have had have been very educational and entertaining and I thank you all for taking the thread in the lighthearted way it was meant. If I manage to acquire another bush next year I will open a new thread.
