Suzuki powered Minors

Post by jonathon »

Had an interesting chat with a guy today who fits Suzuki engines to MGB's and Vauxhaul or BMW diesel engines into Scimitars. The favourite for real petrol heads seemed to be the 200bhp V6 Vitara motor, very small and light. Anyone tried these powerplants ?.

I have read that all the Suzuki 4X4 boxes have a seperate transfer box, which can be removed to hook up a normal prop.
Ther has been some talk about the Suzuki V6 on the Morris Down Under forum.
The idea of a V6 seems appealing, and it may be short enough to fit without cutting (anyone got a Grand Vitara and a tape measure handy?)
The Swift GTI engine has been mentioned before, but I read that it's actually longer than a Zetec.
