Show us your Wide/Extended Wing Pics!!!

Post by BigDawgV8 »

Hi All,

Another MOT successfully passed yesterday and I'm ashamed to say the first run out since.......ermmmm......september

Anyhow, I've started having tyre to wing clearance issues as the suspension has settled.

I have 4 inch over-size wings on the rear and 2 inch flares on the front and It's still not quite enough!
So for my winter project I will be removing all the wings and making them fit the car rather than vice-versa.

What have other people done (and how have you done it?) when you have widened your wings?
I'm looking for ideas.

Show us your wide wing pics! :D

Im using standard fibreglass wings but cut slightly higher and fitted with 3 inch JDM style extensions. This will all be smoothed as one then a mould taken and produced as a one-piece arch.
You can just see them in this pic...[frame]Image[/frame]

They look pretty good man but would look great if it was all smoothed in as a one-piece arch. I think the ends of the extension need to come down to meet the bottom of the original arch so that it almost looks 'stock'. It looks cool on yours as you have matching front and rear arches 8)

Here's Astral Traveller's wings. They have fibreglass extensions on original steel wings.
Apart from the front indicators (getting changed), I think they are as good as you would get.

I was surprised I won it on ebay - even more surprised that it had survived as I thought it was gone. It will live again.
