So how is the pick up looking?
Was it the new owner who had it at the show?

Re: blast from the past x2
it was looking very well for its years john the story is that the guy that bought it off robin has had it all this time
he was well minted by the house they went to get it from ....seams it was just a toy..... he had a few high end cars sitting around .
hasn't turned a wheel for 4 years as the coil went on it and he just left it sitting in the garage , only getting it sorted when it went for an mot so he could sell it.
the guy that has got it now was into VWs and had just sold a VW bus ....and was looking for something not VW
found it on e bay but did not know the history of it just liked the look , when he won it he asked his mate to run him down to
pick it up only then did he find out it was an iconic morris minor as his mate was into morris minors ....
had some trouble bringing it up the road to glasgow on friday as the condenser kept giving up,last few miles on the back of a beaver tail .......
but turned up on saturday ...new condenser fitted ...
as fas as the condition it was looking good a few wee bits that need attention but noting to worry about
engine was sounding sweet and the guy was impressed but the turn of speed off it ...
think it will stay the same colour but a few things might change .
looking forward to seeing it around the shows next year ,,,,,,will keep you posted how it all goes
mark.

Thanks for the info. Robin emailed the old owner (the father of the guy who he sold it too) and he has a couple of historic F1 cars plus a Healey 3000. He said it drove well except for the seating position.
It will be good to see it around again ............ just need to get mine out and about more!

The pulling power of a Turbo Diesel! The voices may not be real, but they have good ideas.
