When’s a door not a door?

When it’s a jar.....
Sorry been in shop all weekend, still started polishing all stainless door ware, dry assembly of all door fittings, changed all non metric fixings to metric, re tap and fitting stainless fixings.

Defiantly need shorter bolts, them being too long, need to order some of those

Main job today was testing my door internal fab, this is the navigator side, although I’ve shown some switch gear there will be a bunch more. Still need to decide wether I have fixed or sliding windows, split half or one piece, up in the air at the mo, need to order some lexan 5mm sheet for all side windows. The ally sheet used was some scrap, I will used prime 1.5mm sheet for final build, drivers side will just be lower part only. And you may see an mistake, as they say measure once or twice, any how my dimple die and cutter seem to be swapped in the box, got some wrong!

Dimple dies from www.dimple_dies_uk.co.uk Don’t buy any Chinese crap, stick to their takeaways, these are expensive but don’t fold or damage.

Also the rear lights and number plate light are now fixed, need to make the looms. Got home to a pile of bits for me to sort tomorrow, new steering column, dzus fittings, omex sensors and lighting loom bits.

Max deflection in steering rack UJ is recommended 30% which rough checking I’m with in the tolerance. Any one want perfectly good escort front hubs and a pair of 2.8i discs?

Although I’ve ordered a gp4 forest quaife rear axle, it’s about 6 months away, that said, I’m stripping the KOLN axle I have and using that as a setup axle, aim is to ship to the builder with all final brackets etc. Condition seems fair for an old axle, need to remove the diff just to make it easier to move around.
