Oxon & Berks Branch Thamesside Picnic

Post by Judge »

Please note that the Oxon & Berks Branch Thamesside Picnic will now be held on the 7th September, and not the 10th August as previously advertised.

Thanks Bill

Can you tell me how I can find out more about the event, such as where and when it starts and what the cost will be?

Cheers

It's held at the Radley College Boathouse, Radley, north of Abingdon. Just turn off the Radley Road over the railway bridge by Radley Station and if anyone can get up early enough it should be sign posted.
No entry forms, no entry fee, no formalities, just turn up with your favourite picnic and enjoy a day lazing by or on the river. Barbecue facilities available.

To those who misjudged the weather and decided to stay at home, it didn't rain and the sun almost shone by the end of the day, although the river was fast flowing so it was decided that it was too dangerous to let people loose in the boats. Still there was a good selection of cars including an MGB, Morris Oxford and Morris 8 plus a 650 BSA.
Never mind perhaps we will see you at the next picnic.
