Malvern Hills Branch Rally

Our rally will be held on Sunday May 31st 2009 at Witley Court and Gardens which is situated ten miles north west of Worcester on the A443. Witley Court, now in the care of English Heritage, was destroyed by fire in 1937. The gardens and fountain have been restored and a Visitor Centre built adjacent to the A443. The rally will be held on the overflow car park adjacent to the visitor centre. Great Witley parish church is situated next to the court and is well worth a visit to see its magnificent baroque interior. The church tea rooms will be open on the day of the rally but some drinks and ice cream may be obtained from the Visitor Centre. We have to point out that picnic stoves and barbecues are not allowed.

There will be the usual traders and autojumble. Entry costs £5.00 per car and there will be discounted entry to the court and gardens for rally entrants. Road Run Round the Malverns

Tonight we are going for run starting from The Huntsman at 7.45 PROMPT. The run should last around an hour and take in part of the Malverns. We are hoping to end up at The Swan at Hanley Swan but will need to set off a little earlier than our normal meeting time. Everyone welcome to join us but please do remember we will need to start off early.
