My first thought was clipper blue, but it was just too dark and wrong for the year as well. Well you've got all the hard work done - wood and paint. Fitting the rest is a breeze! :D

So I finally got some spare time and motivation today to make a start on the traveller, about time I hear you shout Stevey!! I started by clearing all the junk off it that had appeared while clearing out at Dads and removed the drivers wing. The painter seems to have lost most off the bolts, so found replacements. The doors had been removed as well after Robert and I spending about 3 days getting them lined up..... So first job achieved today was lining up the drivers door and pushing it back in the garage again!!

Im starting at again tomorrow morning, Berts coming down to give me a hand. I shall report back of any more progress tomorrow :D

Todays progress - Both driver and passenger doors refitted and swinging nicely, along with glass and chrome tops. Wood removed again to allow for final brush painting of the full floor and inner wings.

Back to it again in the morning!

I gave the wood its final coat of varnish after I had drilled all the pilot holes for the side panels. Front wings trial fitted, I just needed to file out 2 of the holes were I had repaired and put new nuts in the flitch.

Im having a weekend off, the clubs having its end of season weekend in The Mill Park Hotel in Donegal town. 30 rooms are booked and on Saturday night we are having a pre halloween ball!! Some people dont even need false faces.........
Image
This week we have been working on fitting the new wiring loom, a nice pleasant task! Everythings been wired up and tested, I had ordered a new loom that had built in indicators as well as the original semaphores and this was a very neat job. I stupidly let the screwdriver slip when I was fitting the headlight switch and now have a scrape on the dash...... Probably the first of many on the new paint :(

Hopefully next week should see the engine and gearbox back in there rightful place!
