I finished welding the front of the rear arch and fitted the rear wing . Again I was limited to what tools I could use .

Re: barrie's project
The lines didn't line up the the quarter line , I bolted the wing up tight , then chased the shape of the wing to get the line right but in the process,it spilt a little .il weld that up next time.

Re: barrie's project
It was a bit of a shame to batter it around but it needed to ,I need to make sure the rear of the wing fits , but that will have to be next week or so .

Re: barrie's project
It's nearly half a car !! Lol . After leaving the wing for now , I moved onto the door , iv tapped the pillar forward about a 1mm top and bottom . It helped a little, but I'm thinking of taking a mil or two off the hinges them selves , to save battering the hell out of the pillar, what do you think ? I only need 2 mm max .

Re: barrie's project
I fitted the bolt on step panel , iv been avoiding this as the door was rubbing on it , but after a bit of a chase with a bolster chisel,it soon fitted nice , why I was worried about this I don't know!

I fitted the sill finisher as well to make sure I had a gap there still ! . Thankfully I had . Next week il be fitting the outer pillar panel , flitch panel, grinding up the welds and etch priming the chassis leg area, also il be repairing the main pillar at the bottom, I don't want to mess with the pillar to much .il try to get the bonnet fitted as well , and maybe the other front wing

Re: barrie's project
Now this was the fun bit , drilling holes for the front seat belt mounts , one in the b puller and one on the floor . First pic is the b pillar , I wanted to fit it like this as I think it looks neater , and I burnt my finger holding it in place while I was welding it in !
