My Traveller after 900hrs work

After nearly two years work and over 900 hours my Traveller is looking great, I have taken it down to bare metal and replaced loads of panels, every thing has been clean painted and overhauled. I have just fitted the Front Windscreen and re-covered both front seats, and last weekend I fitted the Carpets, now the really hard part, replacing all the wood, I fill like there will be a few sleepless nights coming.[frame][/frame]

900 hours so far + parts and paint etc. and your still not finished

I did a rough calculation of what that would mean if it was a professional restoration and you can start to understand why really good classic cars cost so much......................

I went over to Witchford nr Ely to see Ian working on one his traveller projects last year,total cost £18,000.00 +vat.
Rang him last month and he is doing another one,same price....mind you customers are paying him for his work.
Would you spend that much on a Morris Minor Traveller.?
If you shop around there are many fantastic unfinished projects out there.
I picked up a Traveller for £1500.00 last November locally,after a little cosmetic work it looked great.I spent a week on it.
It is now on Ace Classic Cars website for...£7895.00.
The previous owner did not know how to finish it off.

Yes , but a weeks work at 45 hours is going to be pushing £2430 at workshop prices + parts @ MLP
