Project Nancy

Post by Dave@LIS »

Hi all

Just thought i'd pop by and share my latest project with you all.

This is Nancy. Nancy is suffering from a nasty attack of tinworm and needs pretty much all of the bits you can't see replacing. So far I've replaced the passenger side floor, kidney panel, inner flitch and wheel arch. Managed to get the wing and door to line up nicely on refitting too so pretty pleased with that!

Soon to start work on the drivers side same and then flip her over to replace all the sills. I seem to making best friends with ESM at the moment trading my wages every month for new panels!

Hopefully see some of you at the National Rally

Dave

Looks in excellent condition from your picture. They do take some welding. How bad is it then? Any more pictures? Good luck Steve

Thanks Steve

She does look lovely on the top. The paintwork, wood and interior are great. It's just the underneath that's gone

Biggest problem is someone has tried to hide the worst of it. There was actually an inner flitch repair panel stuck on top of the original flitch panel which had mostly rotted away.

Well hopefully the repairs will be straight forward and wont result in a massive restoration.
Looking forward to the updates and seeing how you do.

Welcome to the messageboard!

Its amazing how much rot a minor can hide, or rather can be hidden by people!

Good luck with the project :D
