My 1960 two door Minor needs the battery tray replacing. It appears to have been replaced some time in the past as there are 1/2" rivets fixing it to the back of the engine compartment and in front of the battery

I can't seem to find any photo so how the new battery tray should be fixed

Any ideas / thoughts welcome

The battery box (item No: 22 in the link above) is fitted into the bulkhead (item No: 23 in the link above) aperture and the bulkhead flanges are spot welded to the battery box to keep it all in place.
You can easily make out the bulkhead flanges in the BMC parts illustration below..
The battery box is also attached (at its front underside) to the bracket that holds the engine steady.
