Jay's Moggy has been given a good bill of health this week. It is now fitted with front discs, the horrible silver wheel are off and heading to be powder coated cream (yes, we know the should probably be black). The pitted bonnet and bubbly boot are being stripped and redone, the red pinstripe will be repainted and, we hope, trafficators will be restored.
The "rust" under the front is the result of overheating and polishes off.
Many thanks to West Hoathly Garage for doing the work. Also for a look around the Aston Martins and, a special treat, an immaculate Lamborghini Miura!

That all looks very workmanlike. Interesting that somebody has chosen to fit the later Minor 1000 jacking points at some time.
I'm not sure that the tab washers have been knocked over on your top swivel pins? Best to check

Looking good.

The grease nipple on N/S bottom trunnion is missing which will allow the dirt and damp into the threads and do them and the bottom pin no good - so needs to be replaced.

Good to see nipple covers on the disc brake caliper bleed nipples - gets rid of the possibility of blocked bleed nipples.

The other thing you might like to do is fit the rubber blanking plug and the rubber clutch lever gaitor to prevent road dirt/dust/grit entering your gearbox......you may also find there is a rubber plug needed on top of the bellhousing as well.
