Hi
I have recently rescued our 2 door 1957 Morris from my brothers barn, the car has been in the family since around 1976 and has been through various stages of use / storage/ use / storage. In general the mechanics are good having only completed around 67k on original engine, gearbox etc. That said the body-work is in need of some considerable attention.
I live near Stourbridge, West Midlands and wondered if anyone from MMOC could recommend a reputable classic body shop who knows the in’s and out’s of a Morris body restoration.
Thanks any suggestions would be appreciated.
Rob

Nice Car, Sage Green by the look of it, so not that common a colour too!

Re: 1957 2 Door Morris Minor
My first 1958 (MBW899) was that colour originally.... but I was young and the body tatty so it went through a few changes... dark green on the wings and sills as a pretty contrast and because the wings and sills were new and in those days I couldnt afford or get a colour match, Later the bonnet got mashed beyond redemption in a little shunt and the replacement was the wrong colour, rather stupidly she was then repainted in hammerite (yes, really) purple with black wings... very striking at the time, probably quite revolting now. Last seen being driven off smoking horribly with a broken engine, I wonder what became of her... maybe I wouldnt want to know, but there is always a glimmer of hope she was eventually restored to looking as she should.
