Stolen YMC 254 1952 Convertible Clarendon Gray

Post by karoljoan »

YMC 254 After 50 years ownership, our lovely Morris Minor Convertible has been stolen from the drive.
Taken between 2pm on Wednesday 4 March and 6pm Thursday 5 March 2020.
Locked, plus lock covering handbrake and gear stick. Fuel limiter.
Split Windscreen, Clarendon Gray with white wheel trims and white roof. Dark red interior and carpets
In reasonable condition, not show standard, as kept outside and used regularly.
Engine and gearbox replaced and no longer original spec.

The whole neighbourhood is missing our lovely car, after so many years it was like part of the family.
I have photographs - not sure if they need to be posted.

Theft happened in Kingston, SW London.

Sorry to hear that, they must have had a trailer, usually with a fuel shut off it will only go about 500 yards.

Gutted for you.

The people who do this are total scum!

Hive night vision cameras outside might have caught an image of their faces and I believe they can be set up to contact you.........
Too late now of course but if they could be caught on camera in the act......
I like the idea of those ones with an attached speaker, so you can ask them to smile for the camera (and hopefully put them off....)
Best wishes,
Mike.

Bit late now, but how about stamping a password/postcode/name into a hidden area(?).
If a vehicle looks a bit dodgy, some form of database will reveal whether it's stolen & the original owners' details.

Just a suggestion.
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!
