Metro GTa spares source
My neighbour is scraping a metro gta 1300 cc. WHat parts would be usefull.
I have taken off the Carb (HIF44) + inlet manifold (same as MG?), alternator. I have taken off the electronic distributor- is this worth fitting? It does not appear to be very popular looking at all the posts.
Is there anything else which is usefull? The engine oil filter appears to be water cooled- Is this usual? I have not seen one of these before, but then i do not look at Metros.
Also the seat are reasonable -I assume these are the ones modifed to go in a Minor?
The engine i assume is not very usefull, but does look good -67k and very clean?

There is too much work to use the engine block but the head is useful. Oil filter and housing so you can convert to spin on type. Seats, seat belts (if you don't want the belts I'll have them ) Heater matrix might also be useful and the radiator and electric fan etc.... That's about all I can think of for now....

if you buy the engine you can get quite good money for it on Ebay from the mini guys he can also sell whatever he doesnt need on www.metroownersclub.org just a suggesiton!
Yes grab the head (and matching waterpump) and the camshaft is worth having, but as said earlier - the engine if ok will fetch reasonable money to a Mini enthusiast. The water cooled filter may well be worth having if you are planning 'spirited' driving. It's no substitute for a real oil cooler, but it does help slightly!

The whole car, to someone who has an enthusiasm for them...
