Send them back then!
Just possible I suppose that your car has been modified in the past - if the threads in the hubs were worn - may have been drilled/tapped a different size and special bolts made - or more likely 'adopted' from a modern car. May be worth checking if the thread is now metric ?? Are the heads of the bolts a metric size ?

There are two threads, bsf for series MMs up to about 1951/2 and unf for 1952 & early SII with 5/8 A/F heads. Bolts were later available for early SIIs with unf threads and 3/8 whit. heads. Sorry no reference books with me to check dates etc.
Check that your car has the original brake drums, try bolts in back and front. Ask ESM what threads the bolts are.
