Pickup heater hose

Post by nigelr2000 »

Found a leaky hose on the pickup, its a 950 and my question is should the piece of metal pipe be there by the battery box or is it supposed to be a straight run from the pipe on the head to the heater and someone has just repaired a leaky hose with it?[frame]Image[/frame]

Yep, a definite bodge! Looks like that pipe is pretty crumbly so it might be a good idea to replace both (and any other perished hoses while you have the system drained)

You might want to save the engine ID plate before it finally makes a bid for freedom too!
