WHY? ... Cos, if you overdo it you'll blow the small clip off the ball joint gaitor. I've done it!!! and it's a right pain trying to get it back on again
You should be able to see the TRE gaitor expanding as you pump the gun. Depending on the gun you have - probably around 5 or 6 lever moves.
