Martin,
Contact Tim at Minimail. They do the engine plates and the fixing screws/rivets. These look like rivets but are actually a screw that is fixed in position by a hammer acc. to their website.

I got a new plate and rivets from them last week-looks good.

This is supplied together with the original type of fixings (these look like rivets but are actually a screw that is fixed in position by a hammer). If the original fixings are sheared off in the block, the remains will often have become so hard as to resist removal unless by spark erosion. We suggest that you can either re-drill two new holes to one side or cut the heads off the new screws provided and glue the whole lot on.

My order from Minimail arrived today and I fitted the engine code plate this pm. Came with two twirly rivets. I was able to locate it centrally and away from the old ground down rivets using a 5/32” drill.
Bit of a faff as no space for a handrill and so used a flexi-shaft. Very pleased see pic 👍

Good to see you've troubled to get the plate on nice and square.
