948cc Clutch Assemblies New - Quality Issues?

Post by whyperion »

1) Can I line up using a 1098 primary input shaft /

2) Are these c£70 Thrust Bearing/Driven Plate / Pressure Plate kits any good, the old unipart etc sets used to be £100+ , so are these presumably budget clones worth the saving ?

3) Rather than the coil spring presure plates, are there better kits for saving my left foot a little.

4) Given that my problem appears to be lack of pull loaded uphill, rather than noticable slipping can I get away with adjusting the free play for now, or better to change before things become a true problem ( engine came with clutch that should have been my old one but the garage could have done anything without informing me )

Ring around some of the usual suspects and check out what they use?

Whyperion - please answer some of the PMs I have sent you about the dynamos you asked for..... I went to a lot of trouble to look them out for you, test them and parcel them up - and now silence from you .... Roy
