When fitting the spigot bush to the 1275cc crankshaft the best solution is for the rear end of the crankshaft to be counter bored and a spigot bush carrier and bush or bearing installed.
The fitment of the spigot bush carrier to the flywheel is the easy option as there is no requirement to have to counterbore/machine the rear of the crankshaft and is therefore a much cheaper alternative for the home mechanic/installer. Unfortunately to have the job done professionally costs money.
To be fair to Frontline they do say in their fitting instructions that there may be a requirement to machine the spigot bush carrier to suit.
As I said in my post above once you go away from standard everything has to be worked through.

With my own crankshafts I have had the rear of the crankshafts counter bored and spigot bearing carriers installed - the work was undertaken by Oselli to my specification so as to enable the Ford gearbox 1st motion shaft to be fitted into the back of the 1275cc Midget crankshaft.
