Hi I can see oil coming from the axle breather on the diff, Firstly does it screw into the housing? Secondly, can I clean it or just replace it?
Regards

Re: Axle breather
It just screws into the housing/axle casing.
It can be cleaned by passing a cleaning fluid i.e. brake cleaner through it.
Early ones are metal (good) if metal clean & re-use - later ones plastic - after market spec not always what it should be.
Check that the oil level is correct and the axle is not overfilled.
It is usual to have some oil vapour pass through the breather and stain the axle casing. But of course there should be not to much staining/fluid.
