The thread is already there, it has a factory fitted, slot headed blanking stud in it. I once removed one in the late 70's from a mini head but had to weld a bolt to it first. It then just unscrewed. This one has been in a mite longer so I may end up spark eroding it. I could fit a sandwich plate but will then have a problem with the top hose.
Of course, it may be easier to put a thicker coat on cold days!!
