Re: Speedo rebuild instructions
This seems to show more than his other internet downloads - I changed my speedo from Miles to km based on his notes.

Nickol
I would love to see the linked speedometer file.
However, all I get from your link is a picture of a beautiful traveller.

Re: Speedo rebuild instructions
Hallo Don - the link should be my signiture picture but it does not upload automatically. I see the link from switzerland ( which is what I had downloaded and printed out ) of Mr Rhodes article is shown.
I cheated a bit with mine where getting spares is a problem. I got a speedo from a mini in km and used the faces and km odometer dials in my existing. Otherwise a lot of hacking to the fixings would have been needed to match the Minor dashboard.
The calibration was fun. On initial testing it recorded about 80km/hr whilst still in first gear. You have to pull the needle off and reset it in a guessed position and then check the reading against a navigation. After three attempts it is just about right but each time involves removing the speedo from the dash, dismantling, resetting the needle and refitting. A bit laborious.

Re: Speedo rebuild instructions
I have to apologise.
I misunderstood Nikol's first post in this thread. I thought the link at the bottom was intended to be a link to a new version of the Rhodes article.
I have now confirmed that Rob's link in the first post is indeed an updated version (2002) from the one that has been widely available and has been referred to on this site many times (2000). So Nikol is correct in saying that the link in the first post has additional information.
Thank you Sleeper. Your link is to the older (2000) version.
I hope I haven't confused matters even more.
Regards
Don
